Congress Ave. is under construction, it's a major artery going into the city and connecting to several highways so the thing is a mess.
Something that makes it very interesting is the bridge work.
And it was made very interesting when the construction crews went on strike and everything ground to a halt for weeks, right in the middle of construction season, who knows when all this will be done.
I always wonder about the stories behind the random shoes (and hats) you often spot on the sides of the road or on a sidewalk, was it intentional and do the owners miss them? Clothing items seen on the sides of highways are particularly baffling - did they blow out of cars or did the owners lose them in the course of an emergency stop?
This shoe was probably found on the sidewalk and placed on top of the draw bridge support on a bridge downtown. It's a child's pink plastic sandal - I'll bet the mom wasn't happy when she discovered the loss!
This is an experiment. I enjoy writing and photography but have no discipline - so this will be another one of a million useless, pointless and unfinished blogs on the net.
All the photographs in this blog are taken by me, and I retain all rights thereof (or some such boilerplate).
